The brand/client already had some form of branding but was looking to renovate/make-over their brand visual identity. After a meeting with the client where we discussed the goals and visual direction for the rebrand, I got to work on creating a mood board. This made sure that we were on the same page with the visual/design direction for the project.
With the mood board approved, I began to sketch ideas I had for the brand. From meetings with the client, I had found that part of their preference was a word mark logotype for Madé so it created guidelines in the sketches. I eventually refined and presented two of the sketches I developed.
Since we had already determined our preferences for the design, this part of the process proceeded smoothly. I started building the structure for the subsidiary brands when this was confirmed. This aspect of the rebrand went rather swiftly because we already had a central design vision. To ensure consistency across all of the brand's future design content, I also created a guide for its new visual identity.
Working with Madé gave me a new understanding of rebranding projects. I learned how to build a brand while staying true to the company's initial values and line of sight with their initial visual identity. Overall, it was an excellent learning experience.
